Tamiya have launched their Nissan GT-R 1/24th scale page on the Tamiya Japan website today. Featuring close up photos and specifications of the RC car. Image

As mentioned before this kit is based on the TT-01E chassis, an electric, self assemble kit with AWD. This version also comes supplied with LED’s for headlights and taillights. As it is a TT-01E kit it is compatible with the wide variety of upgrade parts already available.

Here’s what it comes with:

  • Newly evolved TT-01 type E chassis features brand new A Parts and D Parts.
  • Damper Stay and Gear Case parts are made from fiberglass-reinforced resin for greater strength.
  • These parts are now also separately molded to enable easier maintenance.
  • New front and rear uprights are also made from durable fiberglass-reinforced resin.
  • Improved steering linkage design features TA05 steering posts for sharper steering response.
  • Completely new upper deck enhances chassis rigidity and mimics Tamiya’s high-level racespec machines.
  • Upper deck also features a convenient transponder mount to further encourage fans to go to their local track and experience R/C racing.
  • New-mold GT-R body made from lightweight polycarbonate material.
  • Injection-molded side mirrors and rear wing provide crisp detail. New wheels feature +2 offset.
  • Includes ESC (TEU-101BK), Type 540 motor, and LEDs to install in the metal-plated front and rear light cases.
  • ESC, 2-channel R/C system, 7.2V battery and charger separately required.
  • Wide variety of Option Parts are separately available to customize your machine.

Price for the kit is 14,490 yen ($140 USD) RRP but Tamiya USA expect to retail it around the $244 USD region.
